September 21st was Pinwheels for Peace day. Who knew, right? Well Ella's Brownie leaders did and they organized the entire school to make pinwheels to display on the lawn in front of the school. They had over 500 pinwheels to push in the ground that morning. I took Ben and walked Ella and Kaitlyn to school that day and we helped get all the pinwheels set up.
It looked so cool. I'm not sure how channel 5 news caught wind of what the girls did but they ran their picture on the Friday morning news in their "Tell me something good," segment. Ella was super excited to be on the news. Maybe that was one minute of her 15 minutes of fame.
